A swivel fitting will allow you to unkink your hose when you first walk it out by spinning around the hose end to straighten. The rigid fitting is unyielding and allows little to no separation. When combined, the swivel joint can absorb some of the hose shortening that comes with liquid pressure. Type 53 Swivel Female x Rigid Male Adapters have a large range of diameters available. The Swivel Female diameter starts at 1-1/2” with NPSH thread and goes up to 8” with National Standard Thread (NH) thread. The Rigid Male diameter starts at 1” and goes up to 8” with National Pipe Thread (NPT) thread with some availability of NH threads.
